Taliban Persecutes Christians in Pakistan
Many Christian churches and families are facing tremendous persecution by the Taliban in areas of Pakistan in recent weeks. Churches and personal property of many believers have burned to the ground, families executed in front of one another for having faith in Jesus and messages left by the Taliban commanding Christians to embrace Islam or prepare to die. Please pray that these believing families would have strength and courage to stand for the truth and that the mighty power of God would turn the hearts of these terrorists to Jesus Christ!

Violence in Madagascar
In recent weeks political unrest has become violent in Madagascar as conflict between the mayor of the capital city of Antananarivo, and the President of the country, has increased. The riots have resulted in the burning of shopping centers, homes, lack of necessary resources and in many cases death. The national radio and television stations have also been detroyed. CBMC staff in Madagascar have urged us to pray for this broken nation.

New Committees in China & Kyrgystan
New CBMC groups are forming in China each month - please pray for the protection of those leading these groups and for the freedom to share Christ with their colleagues without fear in this persecuted nation. Please also pray for CBMC ministry beginning in Kyrgystan, a former Republic of the Soviet Union. Religious freedom is allowed despite opposition and the church is slowly growing. Over the years this country has seen much political unrest. Join us in praying for business professionals to be used by God to transform these regions of the world.

India
The Gospel is spreading rapidly throughout India and many churches and ministries are working continually to follow up with the thousands coming to Christ. However, there is much adversity for followers of Christ in this vast country of multiple languages and different people groups. Please pray that believers would remain strong as they feel the growing pressures of anti-conversion laws that would legalize Hinduism and give the militant Hindu groups more power. Over 200,000 Indian Christians have recently fled to the jungles to escape the burning of their homes by these extremist groups. Please join us in praying that believers would unite and recognize the great need to daily lift up India.

Ted Hubbard Passes On
Please pray for the Hubbard family as they mourn the passing of Ted Hubbard, of London, England. He and his wife, Gladys, leave behind a CBMC legacy of committment to God's Word and the spreading of the Gospel among business professionals throughout England and many other parts of the world. Ted went to be with the Lord on June 25, 2008.

CBMC Ireland continues to grow as they proactively pursue and invest their time, treasures and talent into a younger generation of business professionals. Please be praying that God would raise up more business professionals who will start new CBMC groups to effectively proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ within the marketplace of Ireland.

Ethiopia
In October, CBMC Ethiopia met to share with each other their vision and passion to see the business community in Ethiopia transformed by the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They are currently meeting weekly to pray that God would give them the wisdom, courage, and opportunities to share with others the hope they have in Jesus. Please pray that God would begin a spiritual awakening amongst business professionals in the nation of Ethiopia.
