JERUSALEM - This week, at the Europartners Leadership Retreat and Partnership Meeting (EPM), an official change of leadership will take place.
After ten years serving as President of Europartners, Dominique Faessler will retire at the end of March 2012. Although Dominique will no longer be President of the organization, he will remain a member of the Board of Europartners and in so doing, he will help to ensure a smooth transition during this leadership change. Dominique will also continue to operate the Europartners Swiss association and care for Swiss donors and the relationship with IVCG.
The new President nominated by the Board of Europartners to succeed Dominique is Timo Plutschinski, who has been serving as the Director of Christen in der Wirtschaft (CiW) in Germany. As the new Europartners President, Timo will also become a member of the Global Leadership Team (GLT) of CBMC International, representing Europe.
Due to the change of leadership, the Europartners' office in Wetzikon, Switzerland will be closing at the end of March. At the same time, Johann Kaiser, Europartners Ministry Coordinator and Office Manager has also chosen to resign after 10 years. He will be pursuing opportunities in the area social security and his farewell will also occur this week at the Jerusalem EPM.
The new Europartners' office will open in Hamburg, Germany, where Timo and his family will be moving on April 1, 2012. The new office will continue to serve and provide resources to all of the partners across 35 European nations.
Please join us in thanking God for the service of Dominique Faessler and Johann Kaiser these last 10 years, and also for raising up Timo to receive the baton of leadership for Europartners. We are asking God for a smooth transition for Timo and his family and for God’s hand of blessing to continue to be on Europartners as they embark upon a new era.
